Published on Saturday, 10 April 2010 If you want something cheap and effective, lemon is the best solution to your cleaning woes. The acidity of lemon makes it a powerful cleaning agent in the kitchen, toilet and many parts of the home. For instance, with the hard water stains and soap scum are common in the bathroom. You can use lemon to clean the tough stains in the shower, sinks and tubs. You can use it to clean the entire bathroom so you won't have to use chemicals just to have a fresh smelling and clean bathroom always. You can even use lemon to clean brass materials. Avoid using it on brass plated materials though. Aluminum can also look shinier with the help of lemon. But don't use salt on aluminum. Now you would not have to worry about making your pots and pans cleaner and shinier either. Aside from that you can also use lemon to bleach your laundry. So, your hands don't have to suffer when you need to bleach. Of course, you could also use gloves when doing laundry. Your clothes would even have a longer life as well. And aside from clothes even your white shoes can go whiter with the help of lemon too. Simply rub lemon on the shoes and put them out in the sun to dry.
