Steam cleaning is an extensive cleaning process that combines the use of chemicals and a high-pressure blast of hot water to remove dirt and grime that may accumulate to floor carpets. This can be done by either hiring a professional to take care of the job for you or simply perform a "do-it-yourself" work. All you need to do is to prepare a mixture of hot water and a cleaning detergent. This is then routed through high-pressure jets that allow the steamy water to permeate the fibers of the carpet to loosen stains, which will eventually turn into dirty water. The cleaner uses a strong vacuum to suck the dirty water and excess detergent on the carpet. The end result is a carpet that looks good as new.
